Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro Review: So we tried the Galaxy Book 6 Pro from Samsung, which was released in India on March 27, 2026. The model we have here comes with the following specifications: when it comes to the performance side, for processing power, the device sports an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, and this silicon is specially suited for slim laptops, which this device definitely is and stands at 11.9mm thickness; it has a nice sleek profile which is easy to carry and handle, as the weight is also not too much at 1.59kg. Apart from that, it also exudes a premium look with its complete aluminium body. The processor clocks at 3.69 GHz. The processor has 16 cores as well as 16 logical units.

Graphics
For graphics the system comes with an integrated GPU setup with an Intel Arc B390 GPU, which has 128 MB of cache memory and 17.9 GB of usable or shared memory with RAM. Let me explain, as this laptop uses an integrated graphics card and not a dedicated chip, which has its own VRAM, it shares its memory with RAM; therefore, the system shows 17.9 GB of memory. That does not mean that the graphics card has 17.9 GB of VRAM, but it is the amount of memory it can use from the RAM, and it might not use it all at all times and will adjust it according to usage. As far as RAM is concerned, it has 32GB of RAM, which should be sufficient enough to handle most tasks, and is a 64-bit-based system. Although it might look big in numbers, dedicated graphics cards have their own built-in VRAM chips, and their fidelity and product delivery are much better than an integrated graphics card's due to faster and more processing.
Display And Other Specs
The device has a 16-inch 2880x1880 WQXGA+ (pixels) AMOLED touchscreen anti-glare display which also supports an adaptive refresh rate of 30Hz to 120Hz; the display can also be technically characterised as '3K' and has a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Another feature that stands out is its speakers and audio setup, which I think is one of the best in the segment and adds an extra flair while streaming and gaming. In the ports department there are two Thunderbolt ports and one HDMI port, and on the right side you can spot a USB-A and an audio jack port. The trackpad on the laptop is another upgrade from the usual; it has great haptics integration in it, giving it a very premium feel, and apart from that, the mouse pad is quite large as well, and it can be good or bad depending on the user and usage.
I have to say I was surprised by the performance that the product had to deliver. Firstly, we did some basic benchmarking, and the software that we used was Cinebench for processor capabilities testing, both single-core as well as multi-core performance. For basic benchmarking of its graphical processing capabilities, we used the Unigine Heaven benchmark software, which gave us a basic idea of how the system would perform, although, as noted above, performance in gaming differs as it uses an integrated graphics card that utilises leftover RAM memory when required. So without any further delay, let's dive into how it performed overall.
Basic Benchmarking
While benchmarking the processor, we used Cinebench, Geekbench and others for single- and multi-core processing outputs, and the results are as follows.
In a single-core performance on Cinebench the processor was trailing behind the Apple M1 Max, Ultra and the base variant as well as the Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core with 94 points, the photos of which are attached below. But the processor is still above major ones in the market right now and promises solid performance.
As far as multi-core performance is concerned, it saw better, faster results, and here you can see that the processor outperforms other processors in the same segment but is trailing behind the M1 Ultra chip and AMD's Threadripper and Intel Xeon. I have attached pictures for better clarity, and Geekbench and other benchmark scores are also attached below.
For graphics we tested it on the Unigine Heaven benchmark, the results for which are attached below.
Gaming-Based Performance
Here is where I was actually surprised: the laptop performs decently when it comes to gaming, and to get a clear all-round report, we tried it with single-player AAA titles like Red Dead Redemption II and Hogwarts Legacy, as well as fast-paced and popular multiplayer titles like Apex Legends from EA and Blizzard's Overwatch. So let's take a deep dive in.
When it comes to Red Dead Redemption II, it is well known how graphic-intensive and heavy the game is, and even the most powerful graphics card-laden systems that are out there struggle to play the game at max power, but again, I must remind you that this is not a gaming laptop but a performance player, so we must judge it accordingly, and to my surprise, it stood out quite well.
In the starting scenes of the game when in snow, we were playing the game on medium settings, which itself is very good when it comes to RDR2, and the game was able to give 30+ FPS, sometimes going up to 50 and 60 FPS as well, although I could feel the frames dropping as more particles and volumetrics came into play, and the drop was in some cases as low as 25 FPS, which is understandable due to lack of a dedicated graphics card. In the areas with more environment, there were even more frame drops, but eventually the game stabilises, and if you are a casual gamer, you will easily sail through with 30+ FPS on 3K, although you might feel some frame drops in between, which could be concerning if you are not a casual gamer, so that is a good deal considering how heavy RDR2 actually is. Yes, it's not constant 4K 60 FPS, but it's understandable, and the laptop actually performs really well.
Smoke and anti-aliasing details definitely take a hit due to lack of a dedicated VRAM chip, but for a casual gamer, such things are unnoticeable, and if you are on a flight or waiting has gone too long, this device will make you really happy.

Multiplayer Titles
This is where things get interesting. I was sure that getting a high-end competitive gaming experience was not what could be expected from this laptop, but here it got me off guard. When it comes to Overwatch, with its fast-paced movement and environment, the Samsung Galaxy Book 6 Pro was easily able to take on the game even on the highest settings. Now, I know Overwatch is not the most graphically intensive game, but it still counts, as the system was able to deliver constant 120 FPS gaming at 3K.
The system maintained 120 FPS gaming throughout all tiers, except in Ultra and Epic, where I could experience some micro stutters and frame rate drops were a bit more frequent. The frame rate here was below 120 FPS as well specially in Epic settings with drops going till 50 FPS. When particle effects came on the screen again, the frame rate took a toll, but it might not be noticeable if you are playing at medium settings, which would be the sweet spot here to get a full-on competitive gaming experience, so if it's something like Overwatch or Dota, the system can run that with absolutely no problem at all.
Epic, Ultra And Medium Settings
As far as Apex is concerned, this is a much more graphically intensive game with a much larger battle royale map and realistic graphics, and it makes it difficult for some systems even now to run it. Even here the system surprised me and was able to deliver 80 FPS max at ultra settings on apex in 3K, and that is noteworthy. While particle effects like smoke, bullets, and flashes took a toll on the frame rate, with it sometimes dropping even to the low 50s and 40s, the system was able to handle the game pretty well. Although I have to say there were times that frame rates would break completely on ultra settings and pick up, eventually dropping to the mid-20s as well, it's understandable given that it has an integrated graphics card. As far as medium preset is considered this will be the sweet spot as frame rates cross 80 FPS mark reaching 85+ FPS giving it an extra edge.
From here lowering the graphics settings only makes it better so you can expect smooth sailing with 80 FPS on your system.
Ultra, Very High And Medium
Heating and Overall Performance
The daily usage on this laptop is no problem at all, as you can see above it already handles high-intensive gaming. While using it for basics it had no problem and functioned without any lag, with multiple windows open and multiple tasks running behind (non-graphic intensive). The only thing that I felt was heating during the gaming sessions; it does get heated up, and drawing from previous experience that I have had with laptops and gaming, it can be a problem in the long run, so I suggest using a cooling pad. Don't get me wrong; it handles everything without it as well, but having one will be beneficial for longevity if you plan to game on it for hours. So all in all, if you play even the latest titles on low, medium or even high, this machine can take it.
Battery-wise it runs smoothly for 9-10 hours on a 100% charge if real-time normal usage on medium brightness is concerned.

All in all
This is a solid product and handles everything from day-to-day tasks to even moderate gaming seriously. Yes, it's not a 4K 144 FPS experience, but it's not what the product is about, and for what it has, it performs masterfully. A few things that might concern some users are that there is no expandable memory option and you will be stuck with what the system has got pre-installed, but with the 16-inch model that we have, storage expansion still remains an option. Also, there is no card reader support, but it's a small thing. The laptop that we have here will cost you 214,990, so it obviously puts it in the premium segment. In my opinion the laptop stands out very well even though there are other options in the price point. Samsung's products deliver well on many criteria, making it a worthy contender in this segment.
