Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G: Samsung has just dropped new devices today, adding members to the Galaxy A series lineup, the Galaxy A57 5G and the Galaxy A37 5G. With this device, Samsung aims to expand its AI capabilities and ecosystem across more devices that the company has to offer. The South-Korean tech giant claims that these devices come with upgrades to performance, camera and display. These new devices will also come with six years of OS updates and security support as well. As far as design is concerned, this time the company has made the form factor of the Galaxy A57 5G slimmer, and compared to previous generations, this one has amped-up AI capabilities, making this the most powerful AI device in the Galaxy A series, the company said in its press release.

Galaxy A57 5G, Galaxy A37 5G: Specs And Features

Samsung’s new Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G feel like the brand is doubling down on long-term value. Both phones run on One UI 8.5 based on Android 16, and Samsung is promising something you don’t usually see in this segment – six generations of Android updates, along with six years of security support.

Up front, the experience is nearly identical. You get a large 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ display on both devices with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung has also added its Vision Booster tech, which should help with visibility when you’re out in harsh sunlight.

Samsung hasn’t officially revealed the processors yet, but there’s already chatter around it. The Galaxy A57 5G is expected to pack the Exynos 1680, while the Galaxy A37 5G could come with the Exynos 1480. Memory and storage are also on par, going up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Cameras are where the two start to slightly differ. Both phones come with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel macro shooter, but the ultra-wide lens is different. The A57 gets a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, while the A37 settles for an 8-megapixel one. On the front, both stick with a 12-megapixel selfie camera.

There’s a clear focus on AI features this time. You get tools like Object Eraser, Best Face, filters, and edit suggestions. On top of that, Samsung is bundling in features like voice transcription, AI Select, Circle to Search with Google, and even an auto-trim option for quick video edits.

Battery life looks solid on paper. Both phones pack a 5,000mAh battery, which Samsung claims can last up to two days. There’s also Super Fast Charging 2.0 support, with the company saying you can hit 60 per cent in roughly 30 minutes.

In terms of design and build, the Galaxy A57 5G is slightly slimmer and lighter, while the A37 5G is a bit bulkier. That said, both come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, along with Samsung Knox Vault for added security, so you’re covered on durability and protection either way.

Price in India and Availability

Both the said devices are now listed on Amazon for prospective buyers to pre-order, with deliveries starting from next month, which is April 2. The pricing for the higher A57 5G version is Rs 56,999 for the base +256GB RAM and storage version; the variant with more RAM with the 12+256GB configuration comes at Rs 62,499. Customers can choose from the following colourways: Awesome Navy, Awesome Icy Blue and Awesome Lilac.

On the flip side, the lower A37 5G will cost you Rs 41,999 for the base 8+128GB version. This one also comes with two other variants as well. One comes with more storage, and the highest variant comes with more storage and RAM, in which the 8+256GB costs Rs 47,499 and the 12+256GB will cost you Rs 52,999. Buyers can choose from Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, and Awesome Graygreen colour options.
