Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8: Samsung dropped its latest foldable last year during the July Galaxy Unpacked event 2025, called the Galaxy Z Fold 7. This time Samsung has worked on giving it a slimmer form factor, bidding farewell to previous design philosophy, something that can be spotted in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 launched in 2024. Now it seems that the South Korean smartphone maker is getting ready to bring a successor to its latest book-style foldable smartphone, the supposed CAD renders of which have now started to show up online, showcasing what the new design could look like. The design leaks of the purported handset suggest that this one could have a slimmer profile.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Design Leaks and Expectations

Computer-aided design (CAD) renders have surfaced online that show us what the new foldable from Samsung could look like. Android Headlines, in collaboration with tipster Steve H. McFly (@OnLeaks), has published the visuals of the said device. In this it looks like the form factor is slimmer than the current Galaxy Z Fold 7; however, upon its release, you can expect some small tweaks when it comes to the dimensions of the device. According to the leaked renders, the rear panel seems to be flat. following the steps of its predecessor. The color scheme also looks similar to how it is in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, with tweaked saturation of the color blue. The selfie camera can also be expected to retain the same style and positioning.

 

The camera setup at the back looks familiar, with a three-camera module housed inside a vertically aligned pill-shaped bar, right next to the LED.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is being tipped to come in at around 158.4 x 143.2 x 4.5mm when unfolded, but that figure reportedly includes the slightly raised bezels. Strip those out, and the phone could actually be slimmer at about 3.9mm, at least according to the leak.

For some context, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 sits at 4.2mm, so this would mark a noticeable reduction in thickness. When folded, the dimensions are expected to be roughly 158.4 x 72.8 x 9mm.

That said, these numbers aren’t final, so it’s best to treat them as early estimates rather than confirmed specs.

The supposed device was also spotted on China's certification website, 3C, sporting the model number SM-F9710. According to the listing, the device could support 45W fast charging, which is an upgrade from what the current Galaxy Z Fold 7 has, which is 25W fast charging. The battery could also see an upgrade with a 5,000 mAh capacity.
