TWITTER, a popular microblogging platform that has been in the spotlight since Tesla founder Elon Musk took over the reins, is back in the spotlight after he confirmed users would be able to post longer tweets of up to 10,000 characters. Additionally, he further claims that the feature would soon be available for users.

Earlier, the company allowed posting tweets with up to 4,000 character limits but only for Twitter Blue users. Interestingly, the suggested limit is over what Twitter offers to its premium users. The regular tweets are still capped at only 280 characters.

However, the company has not made any official statement about increasing the character limit, if done, to whom it will be available, only the premium users or the free users. Additionally, it could be a big decision as it will directly affect the user base and would make it a bit similar to other blogging platforms like Tumblr.

According to reports, the company will not provide such high character limits for free and will only be available to paid users. It also implies that premium users will have access to the 10,000 character limit, whereas free users will only have access to the current character limit.

Additionally, the new Twitter Boss Elon Musk has not announced the timeline of the increased character limit roll and we would have to wait for some time to see if it's true or not.

Meanwhile, the company has already rolled out its Twitter Blue services to plenty of new countries with premium features like 50 percent fewer ads on the platform, the ability to post longer format videos and tweets, and priority in replies, mentions, and comments. Last but not the least, Twitter Blue users get a blue tick on their profile, which was earlier denoted as verified.

Additionally, the users also get an edit button that will give premium users a chance to review and revise the tweet they are posting. Additionally, the users also get a layer of protection to your account with access to two-factor authentication via SMS.
