If you have been planning to purchase a Vivo or iQOO smartphone, you may want to act fast. A new rumour has emerged, stating that a number of handsets from these two brands may see a price hike in India from March 1. Although neither brand has made an official announcement regarding the change, the reason for the price hike is said to be the rising cost of memory components.
Vivo T4 Series Could See A Flat Hike
The Vivo T4, which currently starts at Rs 22,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, may soon retail at Rs 24,999. The 8GB + 256GB version is tipped to move from Rs 24,999 to Rs 26,999, while the 12GB + 256GB model could jump from Rs 26,999 to Rs 28,999. That’s a straight Rs 2,000 increase across all variants if the leak turns out to be accurate.
The Vivo T4R may follow the same pattern. Its base 8GB + 128GB model, currently priced at Rs 20,999, could rise to Rs 22,999. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants are also expected to become Rs 2,000 more expensive.
Things get slightly different with the Vivo T4x. The 6GB + 128GB version may see a Rs 1,500 hike, while the 8GB variants could get costlier by Rs 2,500.
The iQOO Z10 Lineup Is Also On The List
The possible revision is not limited to Vivo. The iQOO Z10 is also tipped to get a Rs 2,000 hike across all storage options. That would push the 8GB + 128GB model to Rs 24,999, with higher variants following the same pattern.
Similarly, the iQOO Z10R is expected to see a uniform Rs 2,000 increase on every configuration.
As for the iQOO Z10x, the changes may mirror the Vivo T4x strategy. The base 6GB + 128GB variant could go up by Rs 1,500, while the 8GB models may become Rs 2,500 more expensive.
For now, this remains based on a tipster’s claim. An official announcement from Vivo or iQOO is still awaited. But if the information holds true, March could bring slightly heavier price tags for several popular mid-range smartphones.
