As we approach a zillion brands readying to launch their early 2026 lineups, Vivo seems set to debut its latest entrant too – the V series, of course. The Vivo V70, which is likely to succeed the recently released Vivo V60 launched in August, has appeared on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database early, giving us a glimpse at its hardware setup. The listing also indicates that Vivo is planning a version with more memory and confirms some connectivity features. With the company still to officially announce launch details, a number of new reports are coming, as continued sightings suggest something can’t be too far off at this point.
Vivo V70 Appears on FCC Database
As per the report of TheTechOutlook, a Vivo V2538 smartphone has made an entry to the FCC certification authority with model number V2538 (ID 2AUCYV2538). This model has already been associated with the Vivo V70 through previous certifications RELATED:counting begins.

The FCC documents also say it will support 5G, Bluetooth, NFC and Wi-Fi 6, so the phone should be ready for current networking standards. The listing also mentions a 12GB RAM, 256GB internal storage variant as well, hinting that Vivo could be positioning the V70 further down the premium mid-range category.
In terms of software, it is speculated that the phone will operate on Android 16 with OriginOS 6 skin mounted on top, region-based.
Performance and Chipset Details
The Vivo V70 had earlier been listed on Geekbench and the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website, adding more credibility for an India launch soon. Benchmark results showed the phone is running on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip.
In the Geekbench benchmark test, the handset is said to have managed to achieve 1,235 points in single-core and 3,920 points in multi-core performance. The benchmarked unit featuring 8GB of RAM suggests that Vivo will offer multiple memory versions of the phone other than the 12GB model we saw listed at the FCC.
Expected Upgrades Over Vivo V60
Vivo V70 price in India (expected) Details of the Vivo V70 price in India are currently unknown, but considering its predecessor was launched at Rs. 36,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model in the country, the new phone could be priced similarly or a little higher. The V60 offered a 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as being powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor.
The V60’s camera was one of its highest points, with a 50MP main sensor, along with an additional 50MP telephoto lens and 8MP ultrawide lens — as well as a 50MP selfie shooter. It also housed a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and had IP68 and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
Vivo has yet to confirm something as specific as the camera or battery for the V70; however, so it's not sure if it'll maintain that strong aspect on either front.
Launch Timeline and What to Expect Next
With FCC, BIS and Geekbench listings being a thing already, the Vivo V70 seems to be in the final lap of getting its regulatory approvals. There's no official launch date from Vivo just yet, but such certifications usually suggest that a proper unveiling is merely weeks away.
Final Thoughts
The listing of the Vivo V70 in FCC indicates probable improvements when it comes to memory choices, connectivity options, and potentially a fresh version of Android out-of-the-box. Should Vivo bring a strong camera suite and fast-charging battery for less, the V70 could well be an exciting contender in the premium mid-range smartphone space. More official information should also come out soon, as Vivo prepares for the launch.
