X Video, Audio Calls How-To Guide: Elon Musk announced audio and video calling functionality for users on X (formerly Twitter) a few months back. It is now live for X Premium users on Android and iOS. The company noted in its Help Center post that all accounts can receive calls. However, users can control the people who can call them from their DM settings.
By default, only people in your contact list and the people you follow can call you on X. "To be able to call another user they must have sent you a Direct Message at least once before," X said. Users must enable notifications to get notified about the call on an Android device. With these requirements in mind, here is how to call accounts on X.
