Xiaomi dropped its latest in-line smartphones, the Xiaomi 17 Series, in India on March 11, 2026. This new lineup consists of the Xiaomi 17 and the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the highlight here is the Leica-backed camera technology. The company has expressed that both the devices put more focus on performance, battery capacity and the camera. Under the hood, both the devices come with Snapdragon silicon and hold OLED displays and fast charging support. The company claims that the device is manufactured keeping in mind photography, content creation, and gaming as well as everyday usage. Xiaomi 17 And 17 Ultra Specs And Features
Before jumping into how much the devices will cost you, let's take a look into what the devices offer when it comes to features and specs. The device comes with a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1220x2656 pixel resolution. For battery the Xiaomi 17 comes with a 6,330 mAh cell with fast wired charging of 100W and 50W for wireless. Under the hood powering the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 silicon, and customers can get it in black, blue and green colourways. For cameras the device has a 50 MP triple-lens setup with a Leica camera system. For dust and water resistance, the device has an IP68 and IP69 resistance rating, and for glass protection, it has Xiaomi Shield Glass 3.0.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra, on the other hand, is a more photography- and camera-focused device that comes with a 1-inch LOFIC main lens for improved image detail in both low-light and bright-light scenarios. Apart from that, the device also carries a 200 MP Leica telephoto camera with 75-100 mm optical zoom. The Ultra variant comes with a 6.9-inch OLED display with 3,500 nits of peak brightness and a 1-120 Hz adaptive refresh rate. For batteries the device has a 6,000 mAh cell and 90 W fast wired and 50 W wireless charging support. Additionally, the device also comes with Dolby Vision and ACES log video recording with 4K 120 FPS support. Customers get to choose from black and white colourways.
Pricing And Offers
The Xiaomi 17 starts at ₹89,999. For those who prefer paying in instalments, the company is offering an EMI option starting at ₹9,999 per month for nine months.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra sits at the top of the lineup with a starting price of ₹1,29,999. This price already factors in an instant discount of up to ₹10,000 for customers using SBI credit cards or opting for credit card EMI transactions. Buyers can also choose an EMI plan starting at ₹14,444 per month for nine months.
As for availability, both smartphones will go on sale starting March 18, 2026. Customers will be able to purchase the devices through Amazon.in, Mi.com, and Xiaomi’s official retail stores across India.
To make the launch more attractive, Xiaomi has also rolled out several limited-time offers for early buyers.
Customers who purchase the Xiaomi 17 Ultra between March 13 and March 17 will receive the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro, which is valued at ₹19,999, as part of an early bird promotion.
Buyers choosing the Xiaomi 17 during the same period will get a complimentary Phone Damage Protection Plan worth ₹9,999.
In addition to these launch perks, Xiaomi is also bundling a few partner benefits with the new series. Eligible users will get four months of Spotify Premium, three months of Google AI Pro, and three months of YouTube Premium. On top of that, the company is also offering Jio benefits worth ₹31,500 for qualifying customers.
