The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) will operate around 6,431 special bus services to manage the festival rush during Makar Sankranti. These special bus will, however, cost 50 per cent more than the normal fare. According to the transport management, the special buses will be operated on January 9, 10, 12, 13, 18 and 19.
The bus services will operate at nodal points in Hyderabad, such as MGBS, JBS, Uppal Cross Roads, Aramghar, LB Nagar Cross Roads, KPHB, Boinpally and Gachibowli. The corporation will also be setting up pandals, shamianas, chairs, public address systems, drinking water facilities and mobile toilets at all stops. Out of the 6,431 buses, nearly 71 per cent will operate within Andhra Pradesh, while 2,432 services will run on inter-State routes to Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai.

Andhra Pradesh To Run Special Buses On Makar Sankranti
The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) announced on Tuesday that it will operate 8,432 special buses during Sankranti. Additionally, APSRTC said bus rides during the Makar Sankranti festival would be free for women under the Stree Shakthi free bus travel initiative of the Andhra Pradesh government.
According to the APSRTC schedule, 3,857 special services will be operated before the festival. Of these, 3,500 buses will run on intra-State routes, while 240 services will operate to Hyderabad, 102 to Bengaluru and 15 to Chennai.

Once the Sankranti festivities are over, APSRTC will operate around 4,575 services, of which 2,500 buses will run within the state, while 1,800 services will be operated to Hyderabad, 200 to Bengaluru and 75 to Chennai.
