Telangana Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for several districts of Telangana, including the capital city, Hyderabad. The weather department also stated that a thick layer of fog is expected in the early hours, leading to inconveniences for the commuters. The temperature in these districts is set to drop by two to three degrees Celsius in the next two to three days. Earlier on Saturday, the temperature of Hyderabad and other nearby cities dropped to a single digit. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings in the early hours.

While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Adilabad, Komuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Warangal, Hanumakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy, are likely to witness a cold wave for the next few days. While the sky is expected to be clear for most parts of the day, the presence of mist can lower the visibility in the early hours. The temperature in these regions is expected to remain three to four degrees below normal.

Earlier on Saturday, Sangareddy remained the coldest district of Telangana with a minimum temperature of 6.1 degrees Celsius. While the temperature of Rangareddy was calculated at 6.3 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature of Vikarabad remained around 7 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the temperature in several other districts, including Medak, Siddipet, Adilabad, and Kamareddy, was also recorded below 9 degrees Celsius.

The minimum temperature of Hyderabad is also likely to drop by two to three degrees Celsius in the upcoming days. The weather department also stated that the minimum temperature of several regions of the capital city, including Serilingampally, Moula Ali, Rajendranagar, BHEL, Sivarampalle, and Gachibowli, was recorded below 10 degrees Celsius. These regions are also expected to witness a cold wave in the upcoming days, leading to inconveniences.
