WPL Points Table and Standings: UP Warriorz defeated Delhi Capitals in Match 15 of the Women's Premier League at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Friday, March 8.

This was Warriorz's third win in the seven matches in the tournament so far but they remained at the fourth place with six points under their belt.

 

After opting to bat first, the Alyssa Healy-led side posted a total of just 138/8 in their 20 overs on the back of Deepti Sharma's crucial knock of 59 runs in 48 balls with the help of six fours and a six.

They managed to defend it with a ball remaining as they bowled out Capitals for 137 in 19.5 overs with the hosts losing three wickets in the final over.

Capitals needed 10 runs off the last over with three wickets in hand but Grace Harris made sure of the hosts losing Radha Yadav (9), Jess Jonassen (11), and Titas Sadhu (0) to give away an easy win.

Deepti Sharma was the pick of the bowlers as she took four wickets for just 19 runs in her four overs

Despite their second defeat of the season, the Capitals remained at the top spot in the points table with four wins and eight points under their belt.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians stand in second place with four wins and eight points but DC are ahead due to a better net run rate. Royal Challengers Bangalore are the next to follow them in third place with three wins and six points.

Gujarat Giants are placed at the bottom of the table despite their first win of the season on Wednesday that came against RCB, having just two points after five matches.
