A woman in the United States was resurrected back to life after she was declared "clinically dead" for almost about half an hour. Lauren Canadey, recently took to reddit to share her experience through an interactive session, writing, "I was clinically dead for 24 minutes. Ask me anything!" Calling this a second chance at life Canaday said that she said that she has no memory of the week prior to her admission in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to cardiac arrest.
"I went into sudden cardiac arrest at home this past February - my husband called 911 and started CPR. It took 24 minutes for EMTs to resuscitate me. After 9 days in the ICU, I was declared “cognitively intact” and have no visible brain damage on MRIs. I also have a normal EEG despite a history of seizures and status epilepticus for over 30 minutes right after resuscitation," Canaday said in her post.

New York Post in an article documents that Canaday's case is to be highlighted as majority of people don't live long after resurrection. A data report between 1982 and 2018 showed that of the 65 documented cases, only 18 people made full recovery.
Users were curious about how Canaday felt when she was "dead" and of she had any recollection of those 24 minutes. To which she responded that she had woken up in a confused state after she went to coma for almost two days.
I was in a coma for 2 days and when I woke up I was very confused about being intubated and didn’t have any short-term memory for several more days. I never regained memory of the week prior or most of the time in ICU and am foggy on about a month prior," she recalled.
Fascinatingly, Canaday said she felt "extreme peace" during the period and the feeling stayed with her even for a few weeks after her waking up.
