Uttar Pradesh has witnessed a significant surge in the disposal of public complaints, with the latest rankings from the CM Dashboard and Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) for April highlighting the progress. Shravasti district has secured the first position in the state for timely and effective grievance redressal, followed by Shahjahanpur in second place and Amethi in third.

This improvement comes in response to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives emphasising swift and quality complaint resolution. The IGRS report reveals that Shravasti achieved a redressal rate of 93.57 per cent, scoring 131 out of 140 marks. Shahjahanpur recorded a 92.86 per cent redressal rate, while Amethi followed closely with 90.71 per cent. Ballia and Ambedkar Nagar jointly secured the fourth position with 85.71 per cent.

Other districts making it to the top ten include Hamirpur (6th), Mainpuri (7th), and Mau, Hathras, and Balrampur, sharing the 8th spot. These districts have been recognised for prioritising both the timeliness and quality of complaint resolutions.

Shravasti District Magistrate Ajay Kumar Dwivedi attributed the district’s consistent performance to a structured grievance redressal mechanism. “Public hearings are held daily at 10 a.m., followed by a 5 p.m. review of pending complaints. Additionally, cases marked with unsatisfactory feedback are assessed at 9 p.m. to ensure quality resolution,” he said.

Shravasti has consistently remained among the top five districts in handling public grievances over the past several months, setting a benchmark for efficient governance in the state.
