In a viral video from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, a person could be seen putting life at risk of the fellow passengers on the Garhmukteshwar highway by driving the thar by putting sand on its roof. The dust could be seen flying through the roof and disturbing the fellow passengers, making it hard for them to drive.
A major accident was narrowly avoided after the dust particles fell into the eyes of the bike rider that came from behind. The police took notice of the matter after the video went viral on several social media platforms. The police recovered the vehicle number from the viral video, and a challan of Rs 24,000 was imposed on it's owner. The vehicle is registered in the name of Intezaar Ali, a resident of Mundali. SP city has ordered a probe into the matter and also ordered to register a case against the accused in Mundali police station.
In the viral video, the accused can be seen filling the roof of the car with sand and then driving it on the Garhmukteshwar Highway with fellow passengers finding it hard to drive. Several of the netizens have condemned the act by reacting to the viral video on social media platform 'X'. While one of the users claimed that today's generation can go to any extent for reel, another demanded action from the police by labeling the act as unforgivable. One of the users also questioned the law and order of the state and said that a strong action should be taken against the accused.
Earlier in October, a 20-year-old man lost his life while making a reel video. Asif, the deceased, was trying to film a slow-motion reel when the incident happened. Asif could be seen lifting a metal net, but the net fell directly onto his neck after he suddenly slipped. The sharp edge of the net decapitated him on the spot, leading to an immediate and gruesome death.
