Delhi-Varanasi Weekend Special via Lucknow; Punjab Mail To Face Delay On Jan 29

The Railways have announced the operation of special trains from Delhi to Varanasi via Lucknow. These trains will run on January 23 and 25 from Delhi, and on January 24 and 26 from Varanasi, providing relief to passengers on the waiting list.

Delhi-Varanasi Weekend Special via Lucknow; Punjab Mail To Face Delay On Jan 29

In view of overcrowding on trains, the railway will operate a Weekend Special Train from Delhi to Varanasi via Lucknow. Train number 04024 Special will depart from Delhi at 7:25 PM on January 23 and 25. 

This train will travel via Ghaziabad and Moradabad, reaching Lucknow at 3:30 AM, before arriving in Varanasi at 9:40 AM via Rae Bareli-Maa Belhadevi Dham Pratapgarh Junction. Similarly, 04023 Special will depart from Varanasi at 6:35 PM on January 24 and 26, reaching Lucknow at 12:20 AM and arriving in Delhi at 8:50 AM.

The train will have AC, sleeper and general class coaches. Due to construction work on the Amritsar-Jalandhar City rail section of Northern Railway, there will be a block on January 29. 

As a result, the 13005 Howrah-Amritsar Punjab Mail will be halted en route for 3 hours and 45 minutes on January 29. Meanwhile, the 15707 Katihar-Amritsar Express will be halted for 45 minutes, and the 15708 Amritsar-Katihar Express for 2 hours and 10 minutes.
