The district administration has granted approval for the construction of a new ten-storey hostel for working women in Suryanagar. The facility is designed to provide safe and affordable accommodation for single working women in the region.
Project Details And Capacity
District Probation Officer Manoj Pushkar confirmed that the hostel will be constructed on a land area of 3,131.10 square metres.
Capacity: The building will have accommodation for 394 working women.
Construction Agency: The project will be executed by the Construction and Design Services (C&DS) wing of the Jal Nigam (Water Corporation).
Amenities And Security
To ensure a comfortable and secure living environment, the hostel will be equipped with modern residential amenities, including:
- A Canteen
- A Gym
- A Creche for children
- A Library
Security: A dedicated Police Booth will be established inside the hostel premises to ensure the safety of the residents.
Objective: Women's Empowerment According to Manoj Pushkar, the construction of this hostel is a step towards promoting women's empowerment in the district. It aims to serve as an excellent housing option for local single working women as well as those migrating to Ghaziabad from remote areas for employment, providing them with a secure environment at affordable rates.
