Residents of the Trans-Hindon area continue to face daily hardships due to frequent power outages and tripping, despite the city being designated as a "no-tripping zone" meant to guarantee a 24-hour electricity supply. Although complaints have been lodged with the Electricity Corporation, a permanent solution remains elusive.
Status Of Power Supply
Even with the onset of the winter season—which typically eliminates the problem of overloading—residents are enduring daily power cuts lasting three to four hours. On Wednesday, various areas across Trans-Hindon reported significant disruptions.
Impact On Specific Neighborhoods
Defence Colony and Bhopura: Power cuts began early Wednesday morning. Due to these interruptions, residents were unable to operate water motors, which prevented them from filling their tanks and storing water.
Indraprastha Colony: Residents faced frequent tripping issues between 6:00 am and 9:00 am.
Brij Vihar: This area also reported power outages.
Resident Grievances
Residents state they are forced to contend with these issues daily. When complaints are lodged, officials frequently attribute the outages to technical faults.

Local resident Ashok Yadav highlighted the danger posed by these fluctuations, stating that constant tripping creates a fear of electrical appliances being damaged.
Official Response
Akhilesh Singh, Superintending Engineer of the Electricity Urban Distribution Division-II, addressed the situation, stating that the issue is currently being handled. He assured that necessary work is being undertaken to resolve the problem and noted that the cuts in some areas were due to ongoing maintenance work.
