With foggy conditions during winter increasing the risk of road accidents, the Ghaziabad traffic police on Wednesday launched a special drive against vehicles parked on the roadside. As part of the campaign, challans were issued to 76 vehicles found violating parking norms.

According to DCP Traffic Trigun Bisen, a campaign was launched to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce the likelihood of accidents. During the campaign, fines were issued to a total of 76 vehicles parked improperly on the roadside.

Additionally, to enhance road safety, reflective tape was installed on commercial vehicles. This was to ensure that other drivers could see the vehicles clearly from a distance in foggy conditions.

Drivers of commercial vehicles were also made aware of essential precautions to take when driving in fog, including driving slowly, maintaining an adequate distance, using fog lights and headlights correctly, and avoiding unnecessary parking on the roadside.
