Greater Noida Authority Upgrades Ithera Substation; ACEOs Inspect Rs 8 Crore Power Project And Ecotech-3 STP

A new 10 MVA transformer is being installed at the Itehra 33 kV substation to meet the growing demand for electricity in Greater Noida West. It will be connected to the Jalpura 220 kV substation, which will improve the power supply. Officials from the authority inspected the work and gave instructions to energise it within two weeks. Additionally, the repair and operation of the STP located in Ecotech-3 were also inspected.

To meet the growing electricity demand of Greater Noida West, the capacity of the substation is being increased. Work is underway to install a new 10 MVA transformer at the 33 kV substation located in Ithera. It will be connected to the 220 kV substation in Jalpura.

The Authority's ACEOs Sunil Kumar Singh and Prerna Singh inspected the work at the substation. Instructions were given to energise the transformer within two weeks. The work of laying the line from Jalpura to the Ithera substation is almost complete. Approximately ₹8 crore has been spent on this work. The increase of 10 MVA in capacity will further improve the electricity supply for the residents of Greater Noida West. Senior Manager Ashwini Chaturvedi, Manager Anoj Kumar Anand and Assistant Manager Manoj Kumar were present during the inspection.

Inspection Of STP Repair Works And Water Quality Parameters

Both ACEOs also inspected the ongoing repair and operation works at the 20 MLD STP located in Sector Ecotech 3. The report on the parameters of the treated water, such as BOD, COD, TSS, TN, and pH factor, was also examined. Information was also taken on the progress of the garden and building maintenance work within the STP premises.

The chlorination level was also found to be 5.0 ppm. They gave instructions to prepare a plan for the maximum utilisation of the treated water. Industrial Sector Ecotech 3, and the villages of Habibpur, Sutyana, Jalpura, Haldoni and Kulesra are connected to this STP. The sewage from these areas is treated here. During the STP inspection, Manager Sandhya Singh and Assistant Manager Riyazuddin, along with relevant staff and representatives of the executing agency, were present.
