To alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity for local residents, the Authority has announced the construction of a new service road extending from the Sector Pi-1 roundabout to the Wipro roundabout. A tender for the project has already been issued, with completion expected within one year.

Route: Approximately 2 kilometres long, connecting Sector Pi-1 to the Wipro roundabout.
Phasing: Construction will commence in the first phase on the side facing Godrej Society.
Estimated Cost: Rs 5.23 crore.
Timeline: The road is scheduled to be ready in one year.

The construction is expected to bring significant relief to the residents of Godrej Society and surrounding areas. Currently, the absence of service roads in many sectors forces local traffic onto main roads, increasing the risk of accidents and contributing to congestion.

3. Broader Infrastructure Action Plan
The Authority has prepared a comprehensive action plan to repair existing service roads and construct new ones alongside main roads where they are currently missing or incomplete.
Strategic Measures:
Prioritisation: Incomplete service roads in both industrial and residential sectors will be built on a priority basis.
Traffic Solutions: To further smooth traffic flow, the plan includes road widening, as well as the construction of new U-turns and underpasses.
4. Administrative Directives
CEO NG Ravi Kumar has issued strict instructions to officials across all work circles to expedite the widening of necessary roads and the repair of service roads. Following these directives, the Project Department has begun implementing the action plan to ensure better traffic management across the city.
