In a tragic incident at a village fair in Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj, a 13-year-old girl, Anuradha Katheria, suffered severe injuries when her hair got entangled in a swing roller, ripping her entire scalp off. Captured on video, the disturbing footage shows her hair and scalp hanging from the swing as onlookers rushed to stop the ride. The incident, which happened Saturday evening in Madhonagar village under the Talgram police station area, left the teenager bleeding heavily from head wounds before she lost consciousness.

The accident's footage went viral on Monday, sparking widespread concern over safety measures at local fairs. Anuradha was initially taken to a private hospital in Gursahaiganj by her family but was later transferred to PGI in Lucknow due to her critical condition.

The fair, an annual two-day event organised by the Shri Shri Swami Nityananda Seva Samiti, typically features worship ceremonies, processions and multiple swing rides for attendees' amusement. However, this incident highlighted serious safety concerns regarding ride operations at such events.
