A sensational case of fraud has emerged in the Babugarh police station area, where a man and his wife allegedly declared his living father dead to fraudulently transfer property into their names. Following the police's initial failure to act, the aggrieved father approached the court. Acting on court directives, the police have now registered a case against the son, his wife, and two accomplices under various sections, including fraud.
The Fraudulent Transfer
The complainant, Akhtar, a resident of village Arifpur alias Saravni, discovered about six months ago that his son from his second wife, Khalil, and daughter-in-law, Fatima, had executed a fraudulent scheme. With the assistance of two associates—Rahees Ahmed of Mohalla Shivdayalpura and As Mohammed of Salai village—the accused allegedly created a forged deed, wherein they declared Akhtar deceased to transfer the house and plot into their names.
Family And Property Background
In his complaint, Akhtar explained that after the death of his first wife, Intajari, he married Wasila. He has a son, Jamil, from his first marriage, and three daughters and a son, Khalil, from his marriage to Wasila. On January 29, 2008, Akhtar purchased a 200-square-yard plot on Kithore Road, beyond the Asaura border, in Wasila's name to save on stamp duty and for her well-being.

Wasila passed away on January 31, 2025. Before her death, she had verbally gifted the house built on the plot to the children, dividing it into three parts. Currently, the property is occupied in three sections: Akhtar resides in one part, Khalil and his family in the middle, and Jamil and his family in the rear.

Threats And Police Action
When Akhtar confronted Khalil and Fatima regarding the fraud, they allegedly threatened to implicate him in false cases of molestation and rape. The accused reportedly went as far as submitting a complaint against the father at the police station to pressure him.
Station House Officer Munish Pratap Singh Chauhan confirmed that, in compliance with the court's order, a case has been registered against four accused, including Khalil and Fatima. An investigation into the matter has been initiated.
