A scam has been uncovered in the recruitment of Coaching Course Coordinators through outsourcing under the Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana in the Social Welfare Department. An outsourcing agency appointed 48 ineligible candidates to the posts. This malpractice came to light during the verification of documents following a recent complaint.

The department has lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against the outsourcing company, Avani Paridhi Energy & Communication Private Limited, Lucknow, and the recruited candidates. The involvement of departmental officials is also suspected in the matter, and an administrative inquiry has been ordered.

The recruitment of Coaching Course Coordinators at coaching centres operating across the state under the Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana is done through outsourcing. It is mandatory for candidates for this post to have passed the UP PCS Main Examination. A complaint regarding irregularities in this recruitment was made to the department on October 29.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) Asim Arun had ordered an investigation into this. During the investigation, when the candidates' documents were verified, it was revealed that appointments were also given to candidates who had not passed the UP PCS Main Examination. In the verification of a total of 69 candidates, only 21 were found to be eligible.

The investigation also revealed the use of forged documents to secure appointments for ineligible candidates, and the outsourcing company has been held prima facie responsible. The minister stated that the department has lodged an FIR at the Gomti Nagar police station in Lucknow against the outsourcing company and the concerned applicants on charges of conspiracy, forged documents, and making appointments against the rules.

An administrative inquiry has also been ordered into the entire matter. The role and negligence of the officials and employees who were responsible for document verification in this process will be investigated.

Additionally, in all future recruitments through outsourcing, verification of applicants' documents and police verification will be made mandatory. The department will also conduct verification of its currently employed outsourced staff.
