An out-of-control car on the Meerut-Bulandshahr highway struck a divider and collided with a truck on the opposite side of the road. Three occupants of the car, including Ankit Tyagi, died in the accident. Ankit was the nephew of MLC Ashwani Tyagi and the son of BJP Kisan Morcha Vice President Sanjay Tyagi.

Details Of The Crash

At around 10:30 pm on Monday, a white Creta car was travelling from Bulandshahr towards Meerut. As the car approached the Chidawak cut in the Gulawathi area, the driver suddenly lost control. The car mounted the divider, crossed onto the opposite carriageway and collided with a truck. The impact was so severe that the car was completely destroyed and reduced to a heap of scrap.

Rescue Operation And Casualties

Upon receiving the information, the police and administration were alerted. Officials who arrived at the scene, with the help of local people, extracted those trapped inside the vehicle. Police from Gulawathi station, the fire brigade, and officers from other stations arrived at the scene and, after extracting the injured from the car, sent them to the district hospital, where doctors pronounced all three dead.
