Noida Techie Death: The delivery boy, who tried to save a software engineer after his car fell into water filled 70 fit drain due to dense fog while he was returning to his home early on Saturday, alleged that police forced him to make a positive video for them.
According to a report by Jagran.com, Gautam Buddha Nagar police took Moninder to the Knowledge Park and held him there for 4.5 hours, allegedly forcing him to make a video, appreciating the police for their efforts in the case.
Police made multiple attempts to record video until they were satisfied with Moninder’s statement, added the report.

In an interview with Dainik Jagran, Moninder claimed that on Monday, police called him saying a senior officer wanted to speak with him. He was made to wait outside the police station from 1 pm until 5:30 pm. Instead of taking him inside the station, the constables escorted him to a park opposite the premises. Moninder said he felt anxious during this time but did not lose courage.
Multiple Videos Recorded Under Pressure
The police personnel told him they needed to record a video in which he would state that the police arrived within 15-20 minutes and made every possible effort to save the victim. Moninder said he insisted he would only speak the truth, but surrounded by five policemen in an isolated spot, he eventually agreed to record the video.
During the recording, when he could not say the exact words the police wanted, they made him redo the video. On Tuesday, when the SIT visited for investigation, mediapersons raised the matter in front of ADG Meerut Bhanu Bhaskar, who assured that the issue would also be probed.
Public Anger Over Alleged Pressure On Rescuer
The reported attempt to pressure Moninder has sparked widespread resentment among locals. People say that harassing someone who risked his life to help is tantamount to suppressing the truth. They pointed out that the Supreme Court has issued clear guidelines directing authorities to ensure the safety and protection of individuals who assist in accident cases.
“There were people from the SDRF, the police, and the fire brigade, but nobody helped him, saying that the water was cold and that there might be steel reinforcement bars in it. Honestly, the responsibility for this death lies with government departments,” Moninder had said earlier, talking to reporters.

Later, in a self-shot video, he claimed posted on social video, he said, “When I reached there, the police were already taking action… SDRF, NDRF, and the fire brigade arrived on time… very soon after, with all their efforts, they were able to rescue the boy and the car and take them out.”
