Noida News: The gunshot-ridden bodies of a man and woman were found in a car on the service road near Dadri Road in Sector 107, under the Sector 39 police station area, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday. It is suspected that the couple committed suicide by shooting themselves over a love affair. Coincidentally, the shocking alleged suicide took place on Valentine's Day. A pistol was found in the young man's hand, and both had been shot in the head.
Who Were The Deceased?
The deceased were identified as Sumit from Trilokpuri, Delhi, and Rekha Devi, a resident of Gali No. 2, Salarpur. The woman worked in a factory in the Sector 58 police station area.
Sumit Ran A Water Plant
Sumit ran a water plant in New Ashok Nagar, Delhi. His father, Rajiv, works for the Delhi MCD. Sumit was a cricket enthusiast and used to play cricket. Family members said that Sumit recently bought a flat in Noida for Rekha and also bought a car for Diwali. Sumit has three siblings. According to family members, he was the third child. Both older siblings are married.
Police Begins Probe Into The Matter
According to police, a passerby reported two men bleeding inside a white Altroz car at around 1 pm on Saturday. When police arrived at the scene, the car was locked from the inside. Police broke the window and pulled them out. They sent the body to a hospital for a post-mortem. A forensic team was called in to collect evidence. A statement by the police is awaited on the matter.
Police investigations revealed that the woman worked at a company in Sector 62, Noida. She left the company at 7 pm yesterday, Thursday, but did not return home until late at night.
They Had Known Each Other For 15 Years
Sumit and Rekha had known each other for about 15 years. They had attended school together. Rekha was a frequent visitor to Sumit's home. They were also soon to be married. The family alleges that the girl's family misled the girl and created deeply negative feelings for him in her.
Furthermore, at 3:39 pm yesterday, Sumit sent a message to the girl's mobile phone, stating that he was going to commit suicide. He then left home in his car around 3 pm on Friday. When he did not return by nightfall, the family began search for him. Their bodies were found in the car at around 1 pm on Saturday.
