Noida Metro Aqua Line Update:  Aiming to strengthen urban transportation in the National Capital Region (NCR), the Union Cabinet has approved the extension of the Noida Metro's Aqua Line. This extension will be implemented by the Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited.

Under the project, the Aqua Line will be extended fromthe  Botanical Garden to Noida Sector 142. Eight new elevated stations will be built along this approximately 11.6-kilometre corridor, facilitating easy movement between residential and commercial areas of Noida and Greater Noida.

Botanical Garden to get additional line

As part of the plan, Botanical Garden station will be developed as a major interchange hub, providing passengers with direct connections to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's Blue and Magenta Lines.

This will make travel between Delhi, Noida, and Greater Noida even more convenient.

Botanical Garden- Sector 142 Aqua Line: Cost of project

The project is estimated to cost Rs 2,254 crore and is targeted to be completed in four years. With this expansion, the total metro network in Noida and Greater Noida will exceed 61 kilometres.

Delhi CM approves Metro Phase-V(A)

Earlier, on February 11, the Delhi government also made a major decision to modernise the capital's public transportation. Metro Phase V(A) was approved at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

In phase V(A), three new corridors totalling 16 kilometres and including 13 metro stations will be built. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs 12,014.91 crore, with the Delhi government's share being Rs 2,940.46 crore. The target is to complete it by 2028.
