Parag To Launch New Products For Diwali In UP Amid Quality Push

Livestock and Dairy Development Minister Dharampal Singh has issued directives for the marketing of Parag products and the launch of new items. He emphasised maintaining product quality, establishing booths in public places, and activating milk societies. The minister also instructed officials on livestock vaccination, arrangements at cow protection centres (go sanrakshan kendras), and the promotion of schemes.

Parag To Launch New Products For Diwali In UP Amid Quality Push
Increase marketing of Parag products during the festive season: Dharampal Singh

During the upcoming festive season, efforts will be made to launch new products and improve the marketing of Parag dairy items, according to instructions issued by the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, Dharampal Singh.

The minister emphasised that the quality and availability of Parag products must be maintained without fail, stating that there should be no complaints of any kind. He also directed officials to systematically operate milk societies to increase overall milk production.

Boosting Parag Products And Milk Societies

In a meeting held at his Vidhan Sabha (Legislative Assembly) office on Monday, the minister ordered that Parag booths should be established in public places. He instructed officials to formulate and implement an action plan ensuring the availability of all Parag products—such as milk, curd, laddus, butter and ghee—during the festivals. He also stressed that new products should be developed in line with public expectations.

During the meeting, it was reported that 7,512 milk societies are currently operational. An additional 220 societies have been formed and 393 have been reorganised under the district plan, while 2,039 societies have been established under the Nand Baba Milk Mission. The minister gave a clear directive to make all defunct societies operational again.

The meeting was attended by senior officials including Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary of the Dairy Development Department; Vaibhav Srivastava, Managing Director of PCDAF; Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Milk Commissioner; and Ram Sahay Yadav, Special Secretary, among others.

100 Per Cent Livestock Vaccination Mandated

In a separate review of the Animal Husbandry Department, the minister mandated that 100 per cent vaccination must be carried out to protect livestock from infectious and other diseases. He stressed that there should be no shortage of necessary vaccines and medicines.

While noting that Lumpy Skin Disease has been brought under control, he urged officials to maintain vigilance. He also gave instructions to ensure adequate arrangements for fodder, straw, lighting, drinking water, and medicines at large cow protection centres (gau sanrakshan kendras).

Furthermore, the minister directed that the selection of beneficiaries for backyard poultry farming, sheep rearing, and goat rearing schemes should be publicised and completed by October 31. To improve breed quality, he instructed that the work of artificial insemination be expedited.
