Raebareli News: To ease the difficulties faced by women devotees at the Ganga Ghats in Dalmau, the Nagar Panchayat has started the construction of five new changing rooms. The project, costing around Rs 3 lakh, aims to provide a safer and more comfortable space for women to change clothes after bathing in the river.
Every day, hundreds of people visit Dalmau to bathe in the Ganga. On special days like Amavasya and Poornima, the number rises significantly, with lakhs of devotees arriving from nearby districts such as Barabanki, Lucknow, Fatehpur, Unnao and Sultanpur. A large number of women are among them.

Currently, there is only one changing room available at the ghat. Due to this, women are often seen using bedsheets for privacy while changing clothes. The lack of facilities leads to long queues and discomfort, especially during religious gatherings.
Each new changing room will allow four women to change at the same time, making the process quicker and more convenient. Once completed, these changing rooms are expected to offer much-needed relief to female visitors.

Nagar Panchayat President Pandit Brijesh Dutt Gaur stated that the decision was taken keeping in mind the large number of women who come to bathe in the Ganga during religious occasions. The administration wants to ensure that women devotees can perform their rituals without inconvenience.
