Smart Kashi App: BMC Mandates Online NOC For Ganga Ghat Events, Sets Fee At Rs 880 Per Sq Meter

Organising any religious, social, or business event on the Ganga Ghats will now require prior permission from the Municipal Corporation, along with a mandatory fee payment. The corporation has set a fee of Rs 880 per square meter for such events.

Event organisers must apply online via the Smart Kashi Mobile App at least 15 days in advance. The application process requires uploading a photograph of the selected location and a photocopy of the Aadhar card.

Based on the zonal officers’ report, the revenue officer in charge will issue an online No Objection Certificate (NOC). Starting April 1, the Municipal Corporation will make 29 types of licenses available online through the Smart Kashi App, eliminating the need to visit the license department in person. 

Licenses for establishments like hotels, lodges, guest houses, hospitals, and wine shops can now be obtained remotely via online application. The required fee can be deposited through RTGS (Real-Time Gross Settlement).
