Bareilly-Moradabad National Highway: To improve road travel, preparations are underway to convert the Bareilly-Moradabad National Highway into a six-lane road. The stretch from Delhi to Moradabad has already been expanded, and officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) are now planning to extend the six-lane road from Moradabad to Bareilly.
According to Jagran.com, the conversion of the Bareilly-Sitapur Highway (NH-24) into a six-lane road has also begun, with work currently ongoing on 11 underpasses. Meanwhile, the number of trains running between Lucknow, the state capital, and Delhi, the national capital, has been increased to facilitate travel. The NHAI has started efforts to further enhance road connectivity.
The Delhi-Lucknow Highway has already been upgraded to six lanes, and now work has begun on expanding the highway from Moradabad to Bareilly. The project has been assigned to NHAI’s Moradabad division, though officials are not yet ready to provide details.
In addition, the construction of a six-lane flyover at Navadiya Jhada is nearing completion, and work has started on the Gorakhpur-Shamli Expressway.

To improve direct connectivity with Uttarakhand, the Bareilly-Sitaraganj Highway is also under construction. Several meetings have been held between NHAI officials and the Divisional Commissioner to discuss the conversion of the Bareilly-Sitapur Highway.
Once the Moradabad-Bareilly section is expanded to six lanes, the Bareilly-Sitapur Highway will follow. While the Bareilly-Sitapur Highway has been upgraded to four lanes and some repair work completed, construction of underpasses at 11 locations is still in progress.
