A Congress leader has been booked in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow for posting an objectionable photograph of Union Minister Smriti Irani. The photograph was posted from the account of the Congress spokesperson for their OBC department, Arunesh Yadav on social media platform X.
Police have registered an FIR with the cyber cell of Lucknow Police based on the complaint of an inspector of the cyber cell. Police have launched an investigation into the matter and further action will be taken accordingly.
Meanwhile, after a complaint was filed against the Congress leader, he deleted the offensive post and claimed that it was posted by mistake. He said that he was unaware that the image was morphed and regret his actions.

"Two days back, from my Twitter ID, a morphed photo was posted by mistake. I deleted that when I came to know about it. If that tweet has hurt anyone’s sentiments, then I regret it,'' Arunesh Yadav said.
