A 10-year-old boy died after suddenly falling unconscious while looking at his mobile phone at home in Jujhaila Chak village, Uttar Pradesh, under the Mandi Dhanaura police station area. 

The boy, identified as Mayank Kumar, a fourth-grade student at a school in Kaisara village, was sitting on his bed on Saturday evening when the incident occurred. His family immediately rushed him to a private doctor, where he was declared dead. Doctors initially suspected cardiac arrest as the cause of death.

Mayank’s family said he was generally healthy with no prior history of illness. His sudden death left relatives and villagers in shock, and a scene of grief unfolded at his home. His family performed the last rites according to customary rituals.

In a separate incident, a nine-year-old boy, Prashanth, tragically died by suicide in Hyderabad after allegedly being bullied by classmates for not wearing his school uniform correctly. The class 4 student was found hanging in the washroom of his home in Chandanagar. 

Police have recorded statements from his parents and are investigating the incident. According to reports, Prashanth had been repeatedly teased by peers, and on Tuesday evening, after returning home and finding himself alone, he used his school ID card lanyard to hang himself.

Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead. The police transferred his body to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem before it was taken to his village for the final rites. Prashanth’s father, Shankar, described him as an energetic and social child with no conflicts, and works as a watchman at the apartment complex where they live, having previously been a driver at the school his son attended.
