UP News: The village of Itaura Buzurg in Unchahar tehsil is poised for rapid industrial development, promising new job opportunities for locals with the establishment of an industrial corridor.
The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has issued a fresh notification for the acquisition of an additional 21.1512 hectares (approximately 85 bighas) of land from 76 plots in the village.
This follows the earlier acquisition of around 380 bighas, most of which have already been registered in UPEIDA’s name, with the remaining registrations being expedited. Once the land acquisition is complete, the industrial corridor will be set up in Itoura Buzurg.

The selected site is strategically located along the Ganga Expressway, Lucknow-Prayagraj National Highway, and near Ramchandrapur railway station on the Prayagraj-Lucknow rail line, offering excellent road and rail connectivity.
UPEIDA is actively advancing the project. The land acquisition process is ongoing, and construction will begin as soon as the required land becomes available. There is also a possibility of expanding Ramchandrapur railway station in the near future.
Unchahar Sub-Divisional Magistrate stated that the notification for the additional 85 bighas has been issued, and the acquisition process will be accelerated with a dedicated team. The state government is developing industrial corridors along various expressways across districts to generate local employment, and Itoura Buzurg has been chosen under this initiative.
