Mussoorie: Cabinet Minister Inaugurates Rs 6.17 Cr Development Projects; Focus On Drinking Water, Roads
Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 6.17 crore.

To strengthen basic infrastructure in the Mussoorie assembly constituency, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth Rs 6.17 crore for the area at the Nagal Hatnala Community Hall on Sunday. Minister Joshi inaugurated the long-awaited Nagal Hatnala drinking water scheme in Ward-04, Rajpur, which has been completed at Rs 398.96 lakh.

During the event, schemes from the Mandi Parishad (Market Committee) worth Rs 23 lakh were also dedicated to the public. Additionally, the foundation stone was laid for road and drain construction works in the Nagal Hatnala, Chalang, and Kulhan areas, for Rs 188.36 lakh.

Minister Ganesh Joshi stated that the government's focus is not just on announcements, but on development that is visible on the ground. He said that facilities like drinking water, roads, and drains directly affect the lives of the general public, and there will be no compromise on the quality of these works.

The minister instructed officials to ensure all construction work is completed in a time-bound manner and according to standards. During the programme, senior citizens and active party workers were honoured. Those honoured included the former Pradhan (village head) of Chalang, Ramlal Thakur, Prem Pathak, Meenakshi Bhatt, Kamal Gupta, Ravindra Singh, Kalam Singh Ramola, Rakhi Pundir, Ranveer, and Umesh Tyagi.

The launch of the Nagal Hatnala drinking water scheme is expected to provide significant relief from the water crisis in Rajpur and surrounding areas. Furthermore, the construction of roads and drains will largely curb the problems faced during the rainy season.
