Indian Man Viral Post: A simple post shared by an Indian man has sparked a big online discussion about why many people choose to settle abroad, even when their hearts are still in India. The post was shared on X by Swapnil Kommawar, who spoke about a recent, honest chat with a friend living in Canada. Kommawar recalled that during their conversation, his friend shared a truth many don’t openly say.

"Yesterday I was talking to my friend who stays in Canada. He told me something very honestly. He said, Even after saving 5–6 crore, many people don’t feel like coming back to India. Not because they hate India. But because life there is… easier." He then broke down what his friend meant by easier. According to him, daily life abroad feels smoother because "Work culture is better. Rules are clear. Overtime is paid. Less corruption. Here, even small things drain energy pollution, traffic, and daily stress."

The post made it clear that money alone isn’t the main reason people stay back. Kommawar wrote that his friend felt "money matters, but more than that, peace of mind, dignity at work, and system support matter a lot." At the same time, the message wasn’t about rejecting India. The emotional bond was still very much there. "He still loves India emotionally. But practically, life abroad feels more stable. No judgement. Just sharing what he felt. Everyone has their own priorities in life," the post added.

The honest take struck a chord with many online. "As an Indian living abroad, I can totally relate to what your friend said. And it's not just Canada; many other countries offer that kind of structured, stress-free daily life. India has so many strengths, like its amazing culture and spirit, but yes, big improvements in civic sense and governance are needed to make it better for all," a user wrote.

"Canada is one of the best countries to immigrate to for Indians; however, the experience is not the same for everyone. Despite the free healthcare, if one needs regular medical attention, it's very difficult in Canada," a second user wrote. "Corruption is probably the biggest reason people don’t want to come back here," added a third user.
