IndiGo Viral Video: IndiGo Airlines is facing criticism online after a passenger from Kolkata called out the airline for poor service during a delayed flight. Rhitam Bhattacharjee posted a video on LinkedIn showing an argument with the IndiGo crew, where he pointed out what he called terrible service and unprofessional behaviour. The video has since surfaced on various social media platforms and quickly gone viral.

In a LinkedIn post, Bhattacharjee detailed his frustrating experience on a flight on January 6. He mentioned that his flight from Kolkata (CCU) to Chennai (MAA) was delayed by an unacceptable five hours. To make matters worse, the compensation offered was just a small packet of chips and a single cookie. Passengers were made to remain inside the aircraft for the entire duration of the

five-hour delay, which he described as completely unacceptable.

The delay wasn’t the only problem. Bhattacharjee also criticised IndiGo's cabin crew, specifically calling out a flight attendant and their team on the return flight for being uncooperative and rude.

In his post, Bhattacharjee urged the airline to take immediate action and improve staff training to ensure a better experience for passengers in the future.

IndiGo replied to the post with an apology, saying, "Hi, this isn’t the experience we aim to provide our customers. Please bear with us, and our team will reach out to you shortly. ~Team IndiGo."

Many users took to the comments section to share their own experiences. "It has been lately the case with Indigo Airlines, The services have been degraded to a level that it has been the last choice for us to Travel. There are better LCCs that are there in India that at least cater to the customers and keep them informed. The food and catering services in Indigo are worse than the services in the Railway station (Not IRCTC)," a user wrote in the comment box.

"In such scenarios, when a flight gets delayed by 2 hours or even 8 hours, many people face significant challenges. Some may have urgent reasons to travel, such as medical emergencies, others may have job commitments or client meetings. Yet, all you do is simply say "sorry."
What kind of policy is this? There should be a very strict rule that if a flight is delayed, the aviation company should provide compensation 10 times the ticket price. Only then will airlines ensure that flights are not delayed unnecessarily," a second user commented.
