Pilot Gurdish Singh revealed that the flight was extra special for him because someone very close to his heart was on board. Sitting among the passengers were his daughter and her Class 6 classmates, all travelling together for a school trip. The kids had no clue that the man flying the aircraft was also one proud dad with a surprise up his sleeve.
In the viral video, the pilot can be heard saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, good morning and welcome aboard IndiGo flight 6E5124 from Mumbai to Nagpur," he said calmly. Then came the twist that caught everyone off guard. "So the reason I am talking to you from the cabin today is because of a very special person. My little princess, my daughter, is onboard today with her classmates heading to a school trip. She didn’t know that, so I decided to surprise her."
The warmth didn’t stop there. Singh made sure to appreciate the teachers and staff who were travelling with the children. "To all the teachers taking care of our little ones, and all the support staff, a big round of applause for them," he added, earning smiles across the cabin.
And just when people thought it couldn’t get cuter, the pilot switched to full Gen Alpha mode. "I’m sliding into the quick vibe check. So grab your snacks, chill in your seat, and vibe out while we cruise at about 36,000 feet. My crew will make sure we vibe good up here," he said, instantly winning over the young passengers. He even ended with a playful dad moment, joking, "And Karam, please behave – your dad’s flying this plane."
