An aerial video of Delhi-NCR has gone viral, once again forcing everyone to confront the city’s worsening air crisis. By now, residents are no strangers to choking pollution, rising AQI levels, and winters that feel heavier with every breath. For many, breathing problems have become common, while some have even stepped away from the capital just to find cleaner air.
The clip, believed to be recorded from a plane, shows Delhi-NCR completely covered in thick layers of fog and smog. From above, the city looks smooth and still, with only tall buildings peeking through the haze. What seems beautiful at first quickly turns alarming when viewers realise that the clouds aren’t natural at all, but layers of toxic air.

Shared on Instagram by Vishal Rana just a day ago, the video spread rapidly, pulling in over 1 million views. The caption simply read, "Delhi is unliveable," a line that echoed what many viewers were already feeling. Social media users were quick to react to the viral video.
"Right par problem state change karna nahi hai problem logo me hai so vo kahee aur jayenge usko bhi delhi bana denge so better idar he raho," a user wrote. "I got many opportunities in Delhi NCR. Many of my friends left Chandigarh for Gurgaon/NCR for better salaries, but I never dared to give another interview for the NCR location. Tbh, I never understand why someone wants to live in such a miserable, toxic environment," a second user wrote.

"Isn’t this partly due to people in Delhi owning multiple cars for convenience while ignoring civic responsibility? Government measures are important, but public behavior plays a major role in keeping the city clean and reducing pollution," wrote a third user. "Immediate effect mein kuch ho bhi rha..aur office bhi 5 din bulate hain..And it's not just Delhi ..its delhi and NCR," added a fourth user.
As reactions poured in, the video became more than just another viral clip. It turned into a reminder of how normal polluted skies have become, and how a city’s struggle for clean air can sometimes hide behind a deceptively pretty view.
