Delhi Weather: IMD Issues Yellow Alert For Dense Fog; AQI Slips Into Severe Category At 439 | Check Forecast

Delhi Weather And AQI Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the national capital due to dense fog. Partly cloudy conditions are also likely, resulting in a mix of sunshine and clouds. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday is expected to be around 22 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may drop to about 5 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality has slipped into the severe category, with the AQI recorded at 439 at 8 am and most areas crossing the 400 mark, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Saturday enforced Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) across Delhi-NCR after air pollution levels rose sharply and entered the severe category.

Delhi Weather Forecast 

On 17 January, maximum temperature was recorded at around 24.6 Degree Celsius and minimum 4-6 Degree Celsius, with partly cloudy skies and mist/shallow fog at night; light easterly to southeasterly winds prevailing.

Between 18-19 January, maximum temperature is likely to remain 21-23 Degree Celsius and minimum 5-8 Degree Celsius, with partly cloudy conditions and shallow to moderate fog during morning hours, winds mostly calm to light.

On 20 January, temperatures were expected around 21-23 Degree Celsius (max) and 6-8 Degree Celsius (min), partly cloudy skies, morning fog, and light northerly winds later in the day.

During 21-22 January, maximum temperature may drop to 19-22 Degree Celsius with minimum 5-7 Degree Celsius, partly cloudy to generally cloudy skies, shallow to moderate fog in the morning, and northwesterly winds.

By 23 January, temperatures are likely to further fall to 18-20°C (max) and 7-9°C (min), with generally cloudy skies, moderate fog at many places and dense fog at isolated locations in the morning, and stronger easterly to southeasterly winds.
