Viral Video: Making a troubling headline yet again, a gruesome incident from Uttar Pradesh was recently shared online, which instantly left a chill down the spine of many. Seemingly displaying a lack of fear from the law, an SUV driver ran over a 70-year-old man twice in broad daylight. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera that was installed nearby, whereas, the matter unfolded in UP’s Jhansi. In the video, the old man was seen getting brutally dragged as the driver for some reason continued to drive. At the end of the clip, many passersby were seen intervening as they tried to assist the elderly.
Taking notice of the incident, the Jhansi Police also responded to the matter, where they updated that a case had been registered regarding the incident. Whereas, the victim has reportedly sustained injuries.
As soon as the incident began to float online, a majority of netizens were left irked and demanded swift justice for the elderly. Some also expressed concerns over the elderly’s well-being.
The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘BhartiyaMemeOrg’. The post was captioned, “Jhansi - SUV ran over 70-year-old man twice, he kept groaning in pain- When the old man shouted, he started abusing him and then drove over him with the car!”

“Legal action being taken by registering a case under relevant sections on the basis of the complaint received regarding a 70-year-old man being injured after being hit by a car by a driver under the Sipri Bazaar police station area,” read the response by the police.

The post was shared today and pulled more than 1K views. Taking to the internet, people shared their take.
