Are aliens real? The question has once again taken centre stage after US President Donald Trump on Friday announced that “very interesting documents” related to UFOs will be released soon by the US Department of Defence.
Speaking at a Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Trump said the government has already uncovered intriguing material during its review of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), with the first set of documents expected “very, very soon.”

“As you remember, I recently directed the Secretary of War to begin releasing government files relating to UFOs and unexplained aerial phenomena,” the US president said to a big gathering in Arizona on Saturday. “This process is well underway, and we found many very interesting documents, I must say, and the first releases will begin very, very soon,” Trump said.
The announcement comes amid growing public curiosity and political pressure in Washington to declassify information related to UFO sightings and unexplained aerial activity.
Are aliens real?
Earlier, former US President Barack Obama, in a podcast, said that ‘aliens are real’. Obama later clarified that he believes the universe likely contains life, but he had seen no proof of aliens during his presidency.
In February, Trump announced that he had directed his US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and other agency officials to begin reviewing government files related to “alien and extraterrestrial life.”
Currently, no confirmed evidence of extraterrestrial life has been found. US defence investigations into UAPs have repeatedly stated that most sightings are likely linked to misidentified objects, natural phenomena, or advanced human-made technology, rather than alien spacecraft.
UFO Files Release
Lawmakers have been pushing for transparency, demanding the release of classified videos and reports involving UAPs, citing potential national security concerns.
With the Pentagon expected to begin releasing documents soon, the coming weeks could shed more light on one of humanity’s biggest mysteries. However, experts caution that even with new disclosures, definitive proof of alien life remains unlikely, at least for now.
