Bangladesh Election Results Tomorrow: Hasina's Party Calls Out The 'Farce', Yunus Congratulates Nation, BNP Eyes Win

Bangladesh Election 2026 Live Updates: India's eastern neighbour Bangladesh is holding elections more than a year after the Sheikh Hasina-led government was ousted in an uprising spearheaded by students. Voting for 299 out of 300 parliamentary constituencies began at 7:30 am and concluded at 4:30 pm. The election in one constituency was cancelled due to the death of a candidate. The counting of votes began soon after the polling ended and the Bangladesh election results 2026 are expected to be out by tomorrow morning.
The Bangladesh elections are crucial as they will decide the fate of the nation hit by strife since August 2024, when Sheikh Hasina's 15-year-old regime came to an end. Hasina's Awami League was disbanded last year and was not allowed to contest the polls. The results of today's elections are expected to lead to the formation of a new government, which will replace the Muhammad Yunus-led interim rule.
