China Explosion: A devastating explosion at a steel factory in China, killed two people and injured 84 others. The Chinese police swung into action, following the blast on Sunday. Police have detained several people from a steel factory in the Inner Mongolia region. Eight other people who were present at the factory during the explosion are still missing.
According to China's Baotou administration, a storage tank for boiling water and steam was built in the steel factory, which suddenly exploded.

Tremors Triggered By Explosion
The explosion occurred at the Baogang United Steel Plant in Baotou at around 3 pm on Sunday afternoon. The blast was so powerful that a mild tremors were felt in the surrounding area.
8 People Missing
Rescue teams arrived at the scene as soon as the incident was reported. A search is underway for eight missing people. According to local authorities, this steel factory is a government-owned company.

In 2024, 22 workers were injured due to a boiler explosion at a steel factory in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad district. The explosion occurred at Gaj Kesari Steel Mill in Jalna city, resulting in molten iron falling on workers.
Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Bansal said three workers were critically injured and were later admitted to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar city. The industry in which the incident occurred manufactured steel bars from scrap.
Authorities recorded statements of the injured workers and had assured legal action against the company owner.
