A "WTF" moment that occurred during the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran has come to light. Israel's drone strikes on Tehran's oil storage facilities on Sunday, which triggered massive damage and killed four reportedly led to this moment with its ally, Washington. This signalled a major disagreement in the conflict that has entered its tenth day.

According to news outlet Axios' report, Israel had notified the US of its strike plan, as it claimed the oil storage facilities were used to fuel missile launches. However, the attacks on Iran went 'far beyond what the US expected' after 30 fuel depots were hit. The report cited a US official acknowledging the first significant disagreement between the allies. "We don't think it was a good idea," the official said.

Why US Sent WTF Message To Israel?

Axios also quoted an Israeli official's reaction on the matter, who stated that the US message to Israel was "WTF". Washington reacted sharply to Israeli strikes due to the concern that attack on critical infrastructure could backfire. However, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) claimed that the fuel depots "are used by the Iranian regime to supply fuel to different consumers including its military organs."

"STRUCK: Several Fuel Storage Complexes Belonging to the IRGC in Tehran. Guided by IDF intelligence, the IAF struck these complexes, where the Iranian terrorist regime would distribute fuel to multiple military entities in Iran. The strike significantly deepens the damage to the military infrastructure of the Iranian terrorist regime," the IDF wrote on X.

Donald Trump Reacts To Surge In Oil Prices

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump on Monday reacted to surging global oil prices triggered by escalating conflict in West Asia. In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that oil prices would "drop rapidly" once Iran's nuclear capabilities are destroyed. "Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace. ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY! President DJT," he wrote.
