Donald Trump, who won the US Presidential elections, received a congratulatory call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The news is making the rounds as the call was also joined by Tesla owner Elon Musk. Both Trump and Musk during the call stressed that they would support the Ukrainian President, according to some media reports cited by Reuters.
During the 25-minute call on Wednesday, the day after the election, Trump told Zelenskiy he would support Ukraine, without providing details, while Musk mentioned that he would continue supplying Starlink satellites, Axios reported, citing unidentified sources.
While Musk’s SpaceX provides the Starlink satellite communications crucial for Ukraine’s defense, his comments have sometimes led to tensions with Kyiv since Russia's invasion in 2022.
As per the Washington Post, Zelenskiy was discussing with Trump the importance of the satellites for internet service in the war, when Trump said Musk was aligned with him and then put him on the line.

Musk's Support To Donald Trump
Elon Musk has extended support to Trump, gave millions of dollars to support his presidential campaign and made public appearances with him. Trump has said he would offer Musk, the world's richest person, a role in his administration promoting government efficiency. Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The Trump campaign said it did not comment on private meetings.
Zelenskyy Says 'US Leadership Is Vital For World'
Zelenskyy, who was among the first few people to extend support to Donald Trump said that the leadership of the United States is crucial for the world. In a post on X, following the call, Zelenskyy wrote, "We agreed to maintain close dialogue and advance our cooperation. Strong and unwavering US leadership is vital for the world and for a just peace."
