Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin shared a ride in the same car on Monday as they headed to the opening ceremony of the VI World Nomad Games at Bishkek Arena in Kyrgyzstan. The two leaders travelled together shortly after holding a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Bishkek.

This shared ride followed a long bilateral meeting between PM Modi and the Russian President, who spoke on wide issues ranging from Indo-Russian relations to key global happenings.

Putin also accompanied PM Modi when he visited India in December 2025. The Russian President and the Indian Prime Minister together travelled to the PM’s residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg.
