Iran, while unveiling its hypersonic missile Fattah II, on Monday threatened the US and Israel asserting that its newly-inducted projectile could bypass the most advanced anti-ballistic system of the duo. Iranian threat came in the backdrop of the Israel-Hamas war which has so far caused a momentous loss to the infrastructure and human lives.

The Iranian media also reported that the Fattah II has a capacity more than that of the advanced anti-ballistic missiles of Israel and the US.

Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while addressing the missile unveiling event, urged the Muslim countries to cut ties with Israel, asserting that mere condemnation of the latter’s bombing in Gaza was not enough.

“Some Muslim governments sometimes condemn the bombing in assemblies. This condemnation is not enough. They should cut off this vital artery of the Zionist regime. They should not allow oil, energy, goods and the like to enter the Zionist regime. They should limit their political relations,” Khamenei said.

Israel has always seen Iran as the support base of both Hamas and Hezbollah and recently there were reports of the Hamas military commander, Yahya Sinwar conducting professional armed training for the Hamas men in Hezbollah military commands.

An unprecedented war between Hamas and Israel erupted when the former on October 7 showered as many as 5,000 rockets unbridled in the Israeli territory. Responding to the misadventure, Israel launched a massive counteroffensive in Gaza.
