Iran War 2026: Amid the ongoing war in the Middle East region, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Saturday claimed that it struck multiple US landing craft utilities at Kuwait's Shuwaikh Port. In a statement, the IRGC asserted that a large number of US forces were killed in the process, adding that the attack was carried out using home-grown missiles. Iran has asserted that it will intensify the attacks if its energy infrastructure is further targeted by the Israel-US forces.
The guards stated that the attack was launched by using the missiles with a range of 1,000 kilometers, adding that along with al-Shoyoukh port, American troops were also targeted in Dubai's coasts and port. "In continuation of the 84th wave of Operation True Promise 4, the IRGC naval units conducted a hybrid operation against US and Israeli terrorists deployed in al-Shoyoukh port as well as Dubai's coasts and port, hitting downhearted American troops and their tactical hardware precisely," the IRGC said in a statement.
"Given field reports, three of the combat vessels sank after the (retaliatory) strikes, whilst the rest are aflame," the Guards added. Apart from this, Kuwait International Airport was also struck by Iran, leading to severe damage to its radar system. However, Kuwait's Civil Aviation Authority spokesperson later informed that no casualties were reported.
In a separate major development, Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels launched its first attack on Israel since the beginning of the conflict on February 28. Israel confirmed that one missile from Yemen was detected and intercepted, further confirming no casualties. While the Houthi is considered a close ally of Iran in the Middle East, it maintained a distance from the war.

The attack is likely to escalate the crisis after US President Donald Trump asserted that talks to restore peace in the region have been ongoing with Tehran.
