US-Iran Talks: President Donald Trump's anxiety is evident in his series of statements, mostly contradictory, on the future of the US-Iran talks. Ahead of high-stakes Islamabad peace talks 2.0, Trump made more than half a dozen statements in the last 24 hours. He shared 8 posts linked to the Iran war on his social media account, Truthsocial, in the 24 hours, which reflect his uneasiness over the hostility in the Middle East. In his posts, he targeted the media, his rival Democratic leaders and also the Iranian leadership. His series of posts reflects his tested strategy of going with a carrot and stick to get a deal signed.
Iran's reluctance to join the peace talks in Pakistan added another layer of worry as the resumption of war will lead to a hike in crude oil prices, which, subsequently, will affect the entire world. The two-week ceasefire is set to end at 4:50 am tomorrow.
Trump's 'Carrot And Stick' Strategy
On one hand, Trump is sending Vice President JD Vance-led delegation for another round of talks in Pakistan, on the other hand, he continued to threaten Iran, pressuring it to do a deal with America.
On Tuesday, the President said he did not want to extend a rapidly expiring ceasefire in the US-Israeli war on Iran and that the US military was "raring to go" if negotiations were not successful. He spoke shortly after the U.S. military announced it had boarded a huge Iranian oil tanker at sea in international waters, the first such move against Iran's crude exports.

I read the Fake News saying that I am under “pressure” to make a Deal. THIS IS NOT TRUE! I am under no pressure whatsoever, although, it will all happen, relatively quickly! Time is not my adversary, the only thing that matters is that we finally, after 47 years, straighten out the MESS that other Presidents let happen because they didn’t have the Courage or Foresight to do what had to be done with respect to Iran. It was a guaranteed Road to a Nuclear Weapon, which will not, and cannot, happen with the Deal we’re working on. He emptied out all of the Cash from Banks in D.C., Virginia, and Maryland. Those Bankers said they’ve never seen anything like it before. In addition, Hundreds of Billions of Dollars was paid to Iran. If I did not terminate that “Deal,” Nuclear Weapons would have been used on Israel, and all over the Middle East, including our cherished U.S. Military Bases.
